On the weekend we are backpackers. This time take we a bus to Chiang Rai, a province nearby. We visit a tea plantation and beautiful temples there.

 With friendly health care professionals in Pang Mod Dang health care center. We have been given a warm welcome from everyone there. 

Documentation there are different and there is not much they document on computers. It writes mostly on paper.

 This is how a medicine room looks like. They do need an air conditioner in the room because most medicine need to be stored in the temperatuure below 25 C. It's 30 C + almost all the time here.

On home visits to patients, we tested measuring blood pressure with an old model blood pressure cuff used here.

Most people in the village are rice field farmer, so there are rice field everywhere. What a wonderful scenery we have behind us.

We are now reach the destination at Pang Mod Dang hospital in Chaing Kham distrikt in northern Thailand. It's the first time we meet our contact person (second from the left) and our responsible nurse (first from the left).

After a long journey from Sweden we stopp in Bangkok to get some rest before we continue our journey. We take an opotunity to go sightseeing there. The photo is taken in Kaosan road, an approximately 400-meter-long street in the district Banglamphu in Bangkok, and probably the most famous backpacker street in the world. It is a nice and interesting place, but at the same dat, it dissuade by many countries that their citizens should not go there because there's a pretty big bomb attack near by.

We are two nursing students and we are on our way to do a field study in Chiang Kham a small district situated in northern Thailand. As volunteers at a small health care center, we will explore healthcare professionals there in taking care of diabetes patient and take steps closer to our Nursing.
We will visit a country which is one of the world's absolute favorite destination when it comes to beach holidays. Palm trees and paradise beaches attract, and that it is still quite cheap to revel in luxury makes it no less attractive. It's going to be a journey for our lives, in other words a real adventure :)!
